Phoenix Wallet is self-custodial. Your keys and recovery information stay on your own computer, and this website has no mechanism to receive them.
Introduction
This policy describes how this website handles information. It covers the website only — the Phoenix Wallet desktop application runs on your own computer and holds your keys locally.

Your wallet credentials
The Phoenix Wallet website does not require users to enter a wallet seed phrase, recovery phrase or private key. The website must never process these credentials, and it contains no wallet connection, import or restoration form.
Wallet creation, restoration and transaction signing happen exclusively inside the desktop application. Any website, message or form requesting your recovery phrase, private key or wallet password should be treated as fraudulent.
Information collected by the website
This site does not ask you to create an account and does not require you to submit personal information to read its pages or download published software.
Information reaches us in only two ways: technical data inherent in serving a web page, and optional analytics if you consent to them.
Technical server logs
Serving a website involves the hosting infrastructure receiving standard request data, which can include your IP address, the requested page, a timestamp, referring page and browser user-agent string. This is inherent to how the web works.
Such data is used to deliver pages, keep the site available and investigate abuse or faults — not to build a profile of you.
Analytics
Optional analytics are disabled by default. Nothing analytics-related is loaded before you explicitly accept it through the storage preference control.
If you choose Essential only, or make no choice at all, no optional analytics are loaded. You can change your decision at any time in the Cookie Policy section below.
Cookie and storage preferences
Your choice about optional analytics is stored locally in your browser so the site does not ask again. It is a preference value, not an identifier, and it is not transmitted to us.
Clearing your browser storage removes that preference, and the site will ask again on your next visit.
Market and network data providers
Bitcoin market data and Lightning Network statistics shown on this site are obtained from public data sources, including Binance and mempool.space, and are attributed where displayed.
Market updates may connect your browser directly to Binance. Other data requests are handled by the website server. Direct connections share standard connection information, including your IP address, with the provider. Each provider applies its own privacy policy.
External links
This site links to external resources such as data providers. Once you follow an external link, the destination site's privacy practices apply, and we have no control over what it collects.
Downloads
Downloading an installation file sends a request to its hosting provider, which may record technical connection data.
Downloading Phoenix Wallet does not require you to provide personal information.
Support communications
The support chat lets you prepare a message using your email address and a description of your question. This information remains in browser memory during the session; the chat does not transmit messages. Reloading the page clears it.
Never include a recovery phrase, private key or wallet password in any support communication. No legitimate support request needs them.
Data retention
Technical log data is retained only as long as needed to operate and secure the site. Locally stored preferences remain in your browser until you clear them.
Security
Keep wallet credentials private. The website does not provide a form for entering recovery phrases, private keys or wallet passwords. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data relating to you, such as access, correction, deletion or objection. Because this site does not operate accounts, we usually hold no data that identifies you beyond transient technical logs.
The support chat does not submit privacy requests. You can clear locally stored preferences through your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
This policy is updated to reflect changes to website features and data handling. Changes are published on this page.

The Phoenix Wallet website
This website provides information about Phoenix Wallet, a decentralized Bitcoin wallet for desktop with Lightning Network support, together with documentation and published releases.
The website is not a wallet. It cannot hold, move or recover bitcoin, and it contains no wallet connection, import or restoration function.
Software downloads
Use the download section and installation documentation for your operating system. Verify the SHA256 checksum of an installation file against the checksum provided for that version.
Software obtained from mirrors, adverts, messages or third-party sites is outside our control and may be malicious.
User responsibilities
- Keeping the computer you use for a Bitcoin wallet reasonably secure.
- Verifying downloads before installation.
- Confirming payment amounts and destinations before sending — Bitcoin payments are not reversible.
- Complying with the laws that apply to you.
Wallet security
Phoenix Wallet is self-custodial. You hold the keys, and no one else can sign transactions, freeze funds or reverse payments on your behalf.
That also means no one can restore access to a wallet whose recovery information has been lost.
Recovery information
You are solely responsible for recording and securing your recovery phrase. It is the only backup of your wallet.
This website never requests a seed phrase, recovery phrase, private key or wallet password, and no support channel will ever ask for them.
Bitcoin and Lightning
Phoenix uses bitcoin (BTC). There is no Phoenix token and no Lightning token; the Lightning Network is a payment protocol built on Bitcoin, not a currency.
Bitcoin and Lightning are open networks operated by their participants.
Network availability
Payments depend on the Bitcoin network, the Lightning Network and your own connectivity. Confirmation times, routing success and channel availability are determined by those networks and cannot be guaranteed.
Fees
Bitcoin mining fees, Lightning routing fees and channel or liquidity costs vary with network conditions and third-party pricing. They are not fixed and are not set by this website.
Applicable amounts are shown in the desktop application before a payment is confirmed.
Third-party services
The site references third-party services and public data sources. We do not control them, do not warrant their availability or accuracy, and referencing them does not imply a partnership.
Market and network information
Market prices and network statistics are informational and may be delayed. Nothing on the website constitutes financial, investment or trading advice.
Figures are sourced from public providers and may differ between providers because of differing methodology and refresh intervals.
Open-source software
Where a component of Phoenix Wallet is distributed under an open-source licence, that licence governs its use and is provided with the software.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for loss of bitcoin, loss of data, or losses arising from your use of the website, from software obtained elsewhere, from lost recovery information, or from the behaviour of the Bitcoin or Lightning networks.

These terms may be updated as the website and software change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
