On macOS, download the published artifact from the installation guide for your version, verify it in Terminal, then move the application into your Applications folder.

shasum -a 256 ./<downloaded-file>

Gatekeeper

macOS may block applications it has not seen before. Confirm the checksum first; never bypass system protections for a file that arrived from anywhere other than this site.
