Fake wallet downloads are one of the most common ways bitcoin is stolen. Treat the source of your installer as a security decision.

• Download only from this site's installation guide for your version.
• Type the address yourself instead of following adverts or links from messages.
• Verify the SHA256 checksum before installing.
• Be sceptical of any build offered through a mirror, torrent or file-sharing link.
