How to handle your Phoenix Wallet recovery phrase safely.
Your recovery phrase is a list of words, generated on your device, from which your wallet keys are derived. Anyone with the phrase controls the funds.
Storage guidance
- Record the words offline, in order, and keep them physically secure.
- Consider a second copy in a separate safe location to survive fire or loss.
- Never store the phrase in email, chat, cloud notes, screenshots or photos.
- Never enter the phrase on a website, in a browser extension or in a support conversation.
