What to check when restoring a Phoenix wallet does not produce the expected result.
If the phrase is rejected
- Check the word order — recovery phrases are order-sensitive.
- Check for transcription errors between similar words.
- Confirm you are restoring in the Phoenix desktop application.
If balances look wrong after restoring
Allow the wallet to finish syncing. Rebuilding history and channel state from network data takes time, and balances may appear incomplete until it finishes.
