Checks in order

1. Confirm the file came from the installation guide for your version.
2. Verify the SHA256 checksum; a mismatch means the download is incomplete or altered.
3. Download again over a stable connection if verification fails.
4. Confirm your operating system version is supported by the published release notes.
5. Check whether security software is blocking the installer.

If the application installs but will not start, restart the computer and try again before investigating further.
